| When Sprint wanted to get their message directly into the hands
of shoppers in Manhattan during the crucial last weeks of the holiday
shopping season they turned to EMC and one of the most exciting new media
forms to roll down 5th Avenue — brand ambassadors on segways.
Even jaded New Yorkers were stopped in their tracks and drawn to these unique personal transports, opening the door for our team of ambassadors to engage them in a very personal brand experience, and distribute promotional materials. The "wow" factor of the segways was not their only strength. Their mobility allowed us to easily follow the crowds of pedestrian traffic, and quickly redeploy to the busiest areas around Sprint's many Manhattan stores. Included in the promotion was the chance to win tickets to the popular Jingle Ball, featuring Alicia Keys, Fall Out Boy, Avril Lavigne, Timbaland, and Jordin Sparks. This added value and a level of fun and excitement to entice consumer engagement. The result: over 6,000 contest entry coupons and holiday cheer distributed to Sprint's target audience in just 3 days via high quality audience engagement! |
